The Safe House is an online fashion store specialising in selling rare and exclusive retro snapbacks. I was commissioned to produce flyers for this company soon after the website had taken off. Below is the a6 flyers I designed…
Personal Promotion – Logo, C.V and Business Cards
This is my latest personal promotion strategy. I have created a new logo together with a fresh identity and complete redesign of my C.V. My existing C.V let me down on a design front, with the latest effort I have looked to make it well designed, eye catching and easy to read for the viewer.
My C.V now uses graphs to show my design and software skills so the potential employer can straightaway see if I am what they are looking for. The idea behind this new personal promotion strategy is to showcase my design capabilities using my C.V to therefore help me secure a position in the Graphic Design Field.
New Website Design
I have decided to do design my own website from scratch instead of using the existing Word Press format. I have two concepts to choose from. Concept 1 is my preferred choice as I feel it stands out more than the other layout that looks a bit bland . A few adaptations have still got to be made to each concept before I put the designs onto Dreamweaver. More to follow

Work Placement July 2011 – TEA Creative, London
I had the exciting opportunity of completing a two week work placement at the advertising agency TEA Creative. They mainly specialise in Film Poster Design and Film Advertsing.
This placement gave me first hand practice of working alongside other designers, and good experience of working with a Creative Director. This was an invaluable experience and I throughly enjoyed my time there. During this time i worked on the advertising posters for the films Mr Poppers Penguins and The Inbetweeners Movie as seen below…

The Island of Adventure
This is what I created my Final Major Project in my 3rd year of my degree course. This project illustrates the children’s book ‘The Island of Adventure’ by Enid Blyton. This is a series of 54 compositions, each chapter out of the 29 is illustrated. The target age group is for children of 7-9 years.
My illustrations are collage based and combine cut outs with ink drawing and textured backgrounds. They are designed to look weird, scary and exciting to the young reader. The illustrative style created is intended to be distinctive by its freakish nature. All the illustrative components and type have been done by hand and then all put together and edited on Adobe Photoshop. The purpose of these compositions is to encourage a child’s imagination by helping them envisage a picture whilst visually appealing to them.
